Discover the musician in you, and expand your horizons at the Armstrong Community Music School of Austin Lyric Opera.

Armstrong Community Music School of Austin Lyric Opera was established in April 2000 and offers a wealth of diverse instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. The School, the first ever to be inaugurated by an opera company, and one of the first community music schools in Texas, offers instruction in classical, jazz, as well as blues, folk and a variety of musical styles from world cultures. In addition, the School provides opera specific outreach for ages kindergarten through adult and musical programs for high-risk youth in housing projects, detention facilities and community centers.

Register now for private instruction, one of our participatory courses, special early childhood classes or multimedia lab.

The Armstrong Community Music School is conveniently located near downtown, at 901 Barton Springs Road.

Monday - 9:00am - 8:00pm

Tuesday - 9:00am - 9:00pm

Wednesday & Thursday - 9:00am - 8:00pm

Friday - 9:00am - 5:00pm

Saturday - 9:00am - 3:00pm

Sunday - closed
