music therapy
ACMS is pleased to announce a partnership with Music Therapy Innovations in which we will provide the facility for a qualified music therapist to enrich lives through music therapy. Two programs are offered.
Adaptive Instrument Lessons
Adaptive music lessons are customized music lessons for children and adolescents with special needs. The lesson plans allow each student to explore the elements of music on a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, voice, percussive instruments, and others. Students develop music making skills through improvisation and composition.
Interactive Music Therapy
Interactive music therapy is the use of music experiences to enhance the developmental growth of children/teens with special needs. Each session is interactive interactive and your child/teen will have the opportunity to create music while also accomplishing non-musical goals.
