Dear Friends and Patrons,

Thanks to you, Austin Lyric Opera is thriving! Now in our 27th Season, we continue to bring you the productions, education programs, community groups and special events that make ALO a part of the vibrant creative environment that makes Austin so unique.

We’ve just announced our new season, and we could not be more excited. We’ll start in November 2014 with a production of Giuseppe Verdi’s A Masked Ball, also known as Un ball oen maschera. This intense drama will feature a stunning projection-based set designed by renowned artist Wendall Harrington. We’ve commissioned her to create this new set as part of our collaboration with the University of Texas – Austin, our ongoing partnership that aims to train the next-generation of opera and theater professionals.

In January 2015, we’ll bring internationally acclaimed singers Stephen Costello and Joyce El-Khoury to perform the title roles of Romeo & Juliet, by Charles Gounod. And in April 2015, we’ll bring back Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni starring seasoned Giovanni Morgan Smith. Tickets for these Austin favorites are sure to go fast, so make sure to secure your Season Tickets now.

There are many convenient ways to renew or subscribe to our coming season – by phone, fax, mail, online – or you can visit the renewal table located on the Orchestra Level during our final performance of the 2013-14 Season, The Elixir of Love, where ALO staff will be happy to assist you.

We are so glad you took the time to visit our new site and look forward to seeing you at the opera!

Sincerely,

Joseph Specter
