Puccini’s operas are the essence of grand opera and this new production of Turandot is a spectacular feast for the eyes and ears. The title role of Turandot, the beautiful but icy princess, is sung by soprano Lise Lindstrom, who recently debuted in the role to great acclaim at the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Deutsche Oper Berlin.
